Congratulations to our President-elect Takahiro Ogawa at The Weintraub Center for Reconstructive Biotechnology Division of Advanced Prosthodontics, Biomaterials and Hospital Dentistry UCLA School of Dentistry for winning this year’s prestigious William J. Gies Award.
The William J. Gies Award is given for the best paper published in the Journal of Dental Research during the preceding year. The paper titled “Ti Nano-nodular Structuring for Bone Integration and Regeneration” can be located in the J Dent Res 2008: 87(8): 751-6. The authors were T. Ogawa, L. Saruwatari, K. Takeuchi, H. Aita and N. Ohno and the paper was based on a joint research conducted at the UCLA School of Dentistry, Los Angeles, CA, USA and the Aichi-Gakuin University, School of Dentistry, Nagoya, Japan.
